Day 1

Arrival & Transfer to the Island

Depart Loreto airport for Puerto San Carlos in air-conditioned passenger vans. Enjoy the scenic drive through the Baja desert landscape. Upon arrival at San Carlos, embark on a boat to Magdalena Island. Arrive at camp, settle into your tent, and take in the incredible surroundings.

Your Island Adventure

Drop your bags, then play hard, enjoy outstanding fresh meals, and relax for the remainder of your stay on the island. Each day is yours to fill with surfing world-class breaks, fishing, kayaking through mangroves, snorkeling, hiking sand dunes, beach combing, or simply relaxing under the Baja sun.

Departure

Depart camp in the early morning, then ferry back to Puerto San Carlos. Transfer to air-conditioned vans for the trip back to Loreto airport. Say goodbye to the island with memories that will last a lifetime.

Absolutely no business, travelers or personal checks, or credit cards will be accepted in Mexico by Mag Bay Tours.

Travel Requirements

Passport Required

As with all international travel, you are required to carry proof of citizenship (passport).

Fishing License

If you are fishing, a Mexican fishing license is needed. Available online at sportfishingbcs.gob.mx and in some U.S. tackle shops.

Travel Insurance

Check with your insurance company about proper coverage. We strongly recommend travel insurance for all guests.

Minors

Minors must have a notarized letter of permission from parent or guardian to travel to Mexico.

Reservations

You will be confirmed on our schedule upon receipt of a non-refundable 50% deposit. The balance is due 90 days before departure.

Airline reservations can be made through your travel agent or with Alaska Airlines.
